Organic, clearly sculpted scales, dark markings that follow the body's lines, and a glossy, wet-looking mouth. The leg joints are a real improvement over the brand's earlier articulated dinosaurs.

Why it made the shelf

  • More layered paint than the alternate version
  • Standout glossy mouth interior
  • Leg joints don't snag; comfortable resistance
  • Bendable tail

Worth knowing

  • Head joint is looser than ideal
  • Limb paint is a little too dark

In the box (as shown in the review)

  • 2 additional sets of four limbs
  • Stand

Articulation

Much-improved legs; watch the loose head.

Malco's verdict

“Recommended to dinosaur collectors.”
