An easy figure to pick up and play with. The flexible sternum piece and butterfly-joint mechanism keep the sculpt connected through a big range of motion, and the swappable tails and inner jaw add display options.

Why it made the shelf

  • Unsettling apex-predator silhouette with layered back sculpt
  • Clever butterfly-joint design with a flexible sternum
  • Two tails: one fixed curve, one wired and bendable
  • Space-capsule packaging

Worth knowing

  • Very limited looking up — the back spines get in the way
  • Poor balance and a tail that can fall off make photography harder
  • Stiff mouth; rough inner jaw piece; upper-leg swivel is extremely tight

In the box (as shown in the review)

  • 3 pairs of hands
  • 2 tails
  • Inner jaw piece
  • Stand

Articulation

Excellent butterfly range and good kicks; head movement and standing are the weak points.

Malco's verdict

“Possibly one of the strongest Alien figures at this price. Recommended.”
